Cheesed Potato Chips
Source: Vintage Recipes from Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Cookbook (c. 1961)
1 (4 oz) package potato chips
1/2 cp grated cheese
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp thyme
1 - Start oven at moderate (350 degrees F.)
2 - Spread potato chips on baking sheets
3 - Sprinkle with cheese, then with poppy seeds and thyme.
4 - Heat 5 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is meltin.
5 - Serve hot.
Makes 6 servings
Vary the cheese for new flavors: use crumbled blue cheese and finely diced olives together.
