Hot Cider Cup

Just in Time for New Year's Eve Celebrating!
1 1/2 quarts cider
1/4 cp sugar
1 tbsp grated orange peel
1/8 tsp salt
12 whole cloves
1 - Combine all ingredients except cinnamon sticks i agate or enamel kettle over moderate heat.
2 - Bring to a boil and turn heat off. Let mixture stand 2 or 3 hours.
3 - Strain mixture and reheat.
4 - Serve for winter nightcap to departing guests.
5 - Add a cinnamon stick to each mug
Makes 6 cups or 12 small mugs.
