Currant-Cream Salad Dressing
Source: Vintage Recipes from Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Cookbook (c. 1961)
1 (3 oz.) package soft cream cheese
3 tbsp currant jelly
2 tsp lemon juice
1/3 cp heavy cream, whipped
Blend all ingreients, beating lightly until well combined.
Just right for certain fruit combinations, such as chilled canned pears
combined with black cherries. Also good on salad of mixed fruits, such
as apple, banana, fresh pineapple, and white grapes.
