Sandwiches on Wheels

At the elegant Argyle Club in San Antonio a sandwich tray is
wheeled about, so that guests may help themselves, making their own
favorite combinations. I noticed on the tray both dark and light breads
and delicious favorites such as thinly sliced Swiss cheese, spiced beef
crisply cooked bacon, and of course lettuce, olives, radishes, sliced
tomatoes, and savory relishes of several kinds.
At the same club, Hot Corn-Meal Pancakes are served as a sandwich
with broiled tomato slices and ham as the fillers, and hot creamed oysters
as a sauce over all! What a good idea for any hostess for her Sunday-
night supper or for holiday brunch.
