Green Beans, Hofbrau Style

Cook one (9-oz.) package quick-frozen beans as described
on package. When tender, remove from heat. Sprinkle with 1 tsp
dried or fresh dill or 1 tbsp freshly cut chives. Add 2 or 3 tbsp
butter. Cover saucepan and let steam from beans melt butter.
Stir. Add 1/2 cp commercial sour cream. Cover pan again. Let stand
few minutes. Stir and serve. Makes 2 or 3 servings.
Green Beans with Almonds: Cook two (9 oz.) packag quick-
frozen French style green beans as described on package. Season with
2 tbsp butter or margerine, 3/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper. When done
turn into serving dish. Sprinkle with 1/3 cp
slivered toasted almonds. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
