1 (9 oz,) package large quick-frozen lima beans
1/4 cp grated processed American cheese
1 tbsp butter or margerine
1/3 cp light cream
salt and pepper
1 - Cook beans as described on package.
2 - Lower heat.
3 - Add cheese, butter or margerine, and cream.
4 - Mix lightly with a fork.
5 - Cover.
6 - Let steam melt cheese.
7 - Season with salt and pepper.
8 - Serve at once.
Makes 3 or 4 servings.
Lima Beans in Potato Ring: Make ring of hot, well-seasoned
mashed potatoes on warmed serving dish. Pour lima beans, cooked as
described in above recipe into ring. Serve at once. Or make small
mashed-potato nests. Fill with lima beans. Place as garnish around
roast turkey, chicken,or veal.
