Potatoes au Gratin

1 3/4 cps medium white sauce
2 tbsp minced peeled onions
5 cps sliced or diced potatoes
1 cp grated sharp processed American cheese
1 - Start oven at moderately hot (400 degrees F.).
2 - Grease 1 1/2 qt baking dish.
3 - Combine sauce and onion.
4 - Make layer of potatoes in prepared casserole, cover with sauce.
5 - Add layer of cheese.
6 - Repeat until all are used, making sauce and cheese top layer.
7 - Bake 30 minutes.
Makes 6 or more servings.
Less cheese may be used. Make layers of potatoes and sauce as de-
scribed. Sprinkle lightly with cheese.
Bake as described.
