Smoked Oyster Stuffed Mushrooms
1 lb large fresh mushrooms
6 tbsp butter or margerine
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcenstershire Sauce
1 can ( 3-3/4 oz) somke oysters, chopped (reserve oil) 1 slice white bread, cubed (crusts removed)
1/2 cp chopped walnuts
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 - Finely chop mushroom stems.
2 - Melt butter in medium-size skillet.
3 - Add stems, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
4 - Saute' about 3 minutes or until stems are tender.
5 - Stir in chopped oysters and oil, bread cubes, walnuts, salt and pepper.
6 - Fill mushroom caps.
7 - Place filled side up on shallow baking sheet with sides.
8 - Bake in 350 degree oven about 25 minutes or until hot.
9 - Garnish with parsley if desired.
Makes about 8 servings.
