Cranberry-Apple Ham Loaf
2 lbs lean ground smoked ham
1 small onion, minced
1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
2 cps soft-firm type white bread crumbs (about 4 slices)
1/2 cp milk
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
dsh ground cloves
1 can (16 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 - In a bowl, mix ham, onion, apple, crumbs, eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper.
2 - Beat until well blended.
3 - Stir in cloves and half of the cranberry sauce.
4 - Pack mixture tightly in a greased 9-by-5-by3-inch loaf pan.
5 - Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1n hour.
6 - Heat remaining cranberry sauce until bubbly.
7 - Drain excess juices from the pan and unmold loaf to a platter.
8 - Spoon hot cranberry sauce over loaf, cut into thick slices and serve
