Japanese Style Chicken
1/4cp unsifted all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 lbs frying chicken pieces
3 tbsp salad oil
1/2 cp water
1 tsp soy sauce
1 pkg (10 oz) Japanese style vegetables with a seasoned sauce
hot cooked rice (optional)
1 - Combine flour, salt, and pepper, dredge chicken pieces.
2 - Heat oil in a large skillet; add chicken and brown well on all sides.
3 - Turn chicken skin side up and add water.
4 - Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
5 - Place chicken on a platter and keep warm.
6 - Add soy sauce and vegetables to skillet.
7 - Bring to a full boil over medium heat, separating vegetables with a fork;
stir until sauce cubes are blended. 8 - Reduce heat; cover and simmer 3 minutes.
9 - Serv over chicken, with rice if desired.
