Aldilla, Mexican Flank Steak Casserole
1 lb flank steak
2/3 cp flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
2 cps choppedtomatoes
1/4 cp chili sauce
1 - Wipe steak and cut it into large pieces.
2 - Combine flour, salt and chili powder.
3 - Pound into stesk pieces
4 - Brown them on both sides in hot oil.
5 - Remove to casserole.
6 - Combine onion, pepper, tomatoes and chili sauce.
7 - Pour over flank steak.
8 - Cover and bake in 300 degree F. oven until very tender.
9 - Uncover casserole for last few minutes to thicken sauce.
10 - Flank steak is a tough meat but it is well flavored and can be as delicious as the finest steak if baked slowly.
