3 slices bread
1 lb ground beefsteak
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbsp butter
1 No. 2 can potatoes, drained
1 cp commercial sour cream
1 - Soak bread in water 5 minutes.
2 - Drain and mix with beefsteak, onion, salt, and pepper.
3 - Shape into round cakes and saute in hot butter.
4 - Remove meat cakes to small casserole.
5 - Brown potatoes in skillet, then arrange them on top of meat.
6 - Add sour cream, cover casserole and bake in moderate (350 degrees F.) oven.
7 - Serve cakes and potatoes with sauce right from the casserole.
