2 cps yellow corn meal
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cp chopped onions
2 lbs chopped beefsteak or cooked diced pork
10 oz can condensed tomato soup
1/2 cp stuffed olives
1 tbsp chili powder
1 - Pour 1 cp cold water into corn meal to make mush.
2 - Boil 4 1/2 cps water, stir in corn-meal mush, salt and pepper.
3 - Cook over low heat for several minutes until thick, stirring frequently.
4 - Remove from heat and add butter.
5 - Heat oil in large skillet, brown onions and meat.
6 - Add tomato soup, olives, and chili powder.
7 - Cook 10 minutes more.
8 - Taste and add more chili if you wnt a hotter pie.
9 - Pour half the cooked corn meal into a shallow buttered casserole.
10 - Add meat mixture and top with remaining corn meal.
11 - Bake until steaming hot.
12 - Serve as main dish.
