Danish Pork Chops and Fruit
8 pork chops
2 tbsp flour
2 cps milk
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp saslt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp pepper
8 large cooked prunes
2 apples, pared, cored and quartered
1 - Brown chops in frying pan on both sides until golden.
2 - Use low heat as pork gets tough if cooked too quickly.
3 - Drain off al but 2 tbsp fat.
4 - Blend in flour, milk, sugar, salt, ginger and pepper to make a smooth sauce.
5 - Cook until sauce thickens.
6 - Put browned pork chops in casserole, pour on sauce, surround with prunes and
apples, cover and bake 1 hour (at 350 degrees F.) until chops are tender.
7 - Lots of good flavor in this Danish casserole.
