Pork Chops Baked in Orange Sauce
6 thick loin pork chops
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 small onion
1/4 cp chopped celery
pinch of thyme
1 cp orange juice
2 tbsp wine vinegar
1 - Brown chops in skillet on both sides, allowing about 10 minutes.
2 - Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3 - Transfer to greased medium casserole.
4 - In a minimum amount of the fat left from the chops, brown onion and celery.
5 - Turn onto chops.
6 - Combine other ingredients, sprinkle over chops in casserole, cover and bake until meat is tender.
7 - Remove cover for last 10 minutes to thicken sauce.
8 - A delightfully easy one-dish meal which will please your dinner guests.
