Pork Chop and Rice Casserole
4 thick pork chops
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 pkg frozen lima beans
1/2 cp uncooked rice
4 thick tomato slices
4 squares of green pepper
1 cp chicken consomme
1 - Brown chops on one side
2 - Transfer them, browned side up, to greased casserole large enough to hold them in only one layer.
3 - Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4 - Break up block of lima beans and put around chops.
5 - Spread 2 tbsp rice over each chop.
6 - Now put a tomato slice over each.
7 - Season again with salt and pepper.
8 - Top with squares of green pepper.
9 - Pour chicken consomme along sides of casserole.
10 - Cover and bakle until chops are tender and rice is fluffy.
11 - Practical and popular casserole.
