Turf and Turf Deer and Chicken Thigh Meat Crock Pot
1 lb deer meat, cubed
3/4 lb chicken thigh meat, cubed
1 large onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and sliced thin
2 tbsp flour
4 medium potaqtoes, peeled and cubed
1 can cubed tomatoes
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp thyme
1 cup chicken stock
1 - Saute' onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic in 2 tbsp olive oil in black iron skillet. (about 5 mintues)
2 - Remove and place in crock pot.
3 - Mix salt, pepper and thyme with flour in large plastic bowl and add deer and chicken and shake to coat well.
4 - Saute' in same skillet, using 2 more tbsp olive oil.
5 - Add tomatoes with juice chicken stock to de-glaze the skillet, then dump all into crock pot.
6 - Add potatoes and bayleaf to crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours.
