1 cp lukewarm water
1/2-1 cake dry yeast
1 - Crumble yeast in water.
2 - Allow to stand 20 minutes.
3 - Add flour to make a stiff drop batter.
4 - Beat until smooth.
5 - Cover and let stand in warm place overnight until light and bubbly.
6 - The greater amount of yeast makes the sponge work more rapidly.
