Bread with Yeast Ferment
1 qt yeast ferment
4 tbs[ sygar
4 tbsp melted shortening
3 tsp salt
1 - Combine sugar, salt, shortening andn ferment.
2 - Add flour slowly, beating thoroughly after each addirion until dough
just stiff enough to knead is formed.
3 - Knead on lightly floured board until dough is smooth and elastic.
4 - Cover with a warm, damp cloth.
5 - Allow to double in bulk, work down, agaijn cover and allow to double in bulk.
6 - Form into loaves and place in well oiled pans.
7 - Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
8 - Bake in hot oven (450 degrees F.) 45 - 60 minutes.
