Peanut Butter Rolls
1 cake compressed yeast
1/4 cp lukewarm water
1 cp milk, scalded
1/2 cp peanut butter
2 eggs, well beaten
3 1/4 - 4 cps flour
1/4 cp melted shortening
1/4 cp sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 - Soften yeast in water.
2 - Add milk, sugar, salt, shortening, eggs, nutmeg, and peanut butter.
3 - Beat well.
4 - Add flour to make a dough barely stiff enough to be kneaded.
5 - Knead until smooth on a lightly floured board.
6 - Cover and let rise until double in bulk; work down.
7 - Form into rolls.
8 - Place on well-oiled baking sheet.
9 - Cpver and let rise until treble in bulk
10 - Bake in hot oven (450 degrees F) about 15 minutes.
