Baked Beans with Ham
2 lbs ham cut 1 inch thick
salt and pepper
2ps navy beans
1/2 cp brown sugar
1 - Cover ham with cold water.
2 - Cover.
3 - Simmer 30 minutes.
4 - Remove ham.
5 - Cook beans, which have been soaked overnight, in ham broth 30 minutes
6 - Cut ham in pieces suitable for serving.
7 - Place in baking dish.
8 - Sprinkle with brown sugar.
9 - Cover with a layer of beans.
10 - Repeat until all the ingredients have been used.
11 - Season to taste.
12 - Have the last layer of ham.
13 - Bake in slow oven (325 degrees F.) 3 hours.
