2 cps flour
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cp milk
1/4 cp minced ham
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp shortening
1/2 tsp prepared mustard
2 tbsp butter or butter substitute.
1 - Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder and salt.
2 - Cut in shortening and add milk gradually until soft dough is formed.
3 - Turn onto lightly floured board.
4 - Knead lightly.
5 - Pat into sheet 1/2" thick.
6 - Cut with floured cutter.
7 - Lay half the biscuits in well-olied pan, brush with melted butter.
8 - Put 1/2 teaspoon ham which has been combined with mustard on each;
top with the rest of the rounds.
9 - Brush with milk, and bake in hot oven (450 Degrees F.) about 12 minutes.
An inch square of bacon may be used instead oif the ham in each biscuit
