Scalloped Eggs III
9 hard-cooked eggs
1 cp medium white sauce
salt and pepper
1 1/2 cps buttered bread or cracker crumbs
butter or butter substitute
1 - Slice eggs thin.
2 - Fill individual well-oiled baking dishes with alternate layers of sliced eggs, crumbs and white sauce.
3 - Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4 - Dot each layer with butter or butter substitute.
5 - Cover with crumbs.
6 - Bake in moderate oven (400 degrees F.) until sauce bubbles through crumbs and top is well browned.
