Baked Caramel Custard
2 cps sugar
4 cps milk, scalded
1/3 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 tsp lemon flavoring
1 - C aramelize 1 cp sugar in a heavy baking pan.
2 - Turn and tilt pan until inside is well coated with caramel syrup.
3 - Let cool.
4 - Beat eggs until yolks and whites are blended.
5 - Add sugar, salt, and flavorings.
6 - Add milk, stirring costantly.
7 - Pour into caramel l;ined pan.
8 - Set in pan of warm water.
9 - Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees F.) until an inserted knife comes out clean.
