2 cps milk, scalded
1/4 cp sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 - Beat 1 egg and one egg yolk until blended.
2 - Add 3 tbsp sugar and salt.
3 - Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
4 - Cook until mixture coats a spoon.
5 - Cool.
6 - Add flavoring.
7 - Beat egg white until stiff.
8 - Fold in 1 tbsp sugar.
9 - Drop by teaspoonfuls on custard.
10 - Chill thoroughly. 11 - If desired, a portion of the meringue may be folded into the custard before the custared is chilled.
