Apple Fluff Pie
2 cps well-sweetened apple sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp flour
few grains salt
1 - Combine apple sauce, lemon juice, salt, flour, and well beaten egg yolks.
2 - Cook over hot water until thick and smooth.
3 - Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
4 - Pour into pastry-lined pan.
5 - Bake in hot oven (425 degrees F.) until crust is brown and filling is firm.
