Indian Pudding III
1/2 cp corn meal
1/4 cp flour
1/4 cp molasses
1/4 cp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 cps milk, scalded
1 egg, well beaten
1 - Combine corn-meal, flour, molasses, sugar, egg, salt, and spices.
2 - Beat thoroughly.
3 - Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
4 - Cook slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to thicken.
6 - Pour into well-oiled baking dish.
7 - Bake in slow oven (325 degrees F.) about 30 minutes.
8 - Serve warm with cream oir with lemon or orange sauce.
9 - If desired, 1/2 cp raisins may be added before pudding is baked.
