Open-Faced Pimiento Sandwich
1 tbsp corn-starch
1 tbsp butter or butter substitute
1 cp diced cheese
6 tbsp milk
1/4 cp chopped pimient
salt and pepper
2 tbsp pickle relish
1 - Combine corn-starch and milk.
2 - Add cheese and butter or butter substitute.
3 - Cook over hot water until thick and smooth.
4 - Season to taste.
5 - Cool.
6 - Add pimiento and pickle relish.
7 - Spread on thin, buttered slices of bread.
8 - Serve at once.
