Remove crusts from a fresh sanwich loaf. Cut bread the long way
of the loaf in very thin slices. Spread with soft butter before slicing.
Cover with any desired filling. Roll the long way of the slice, firmly
and carefully. Roll tightly in slightly damp cloth. Place in refrigerator.
Let stand several hours. Cut in thin slices wsith a sharp knife. If desired
1/3 of the slice may be spread with cream cheese combined with
catsup or pimiento, and the remainder of the slice spread with soft
butter combined with minced parsley and pickle.
