2 cps sugar
2 squares unsweetened chocolate or 6 tbsp cocoa
2 tbsp btter or butter substitute
2/3 cp milk
few grains salt
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 - Combine sugar, milk, butter or butter substitute, salt, and grated chocolate, or cocoa.
2 - Cover until boiling point is reached.
3 - Boil to soft ball stage (234-238 degrees F.)
4 - Add flavoring and cool, without stirring to room temperature.
5 - Beat until mixture is creamy, thick, and will hold its shape when dropped from a teaspoon.
6 - Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, or pour into well buttered shallow pan.
7 - Cut in squares.
