2 cps sugar
1/2 cp water
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
1 - Combine sugar, water, salt and cream of tartar.
2 - Cover and boil 5 minutes.
3 - Uncover.
4 - Wipe sides of saucepan with a damp cloth.
5 - Boil without stirring to firm ball stage (245-248 degrees F.).
6 - Pour slowly, beating constantly over stiffly beaten egg whites.
7 - Add flavoring.
8 - Continue beating until candy holds its shape when dropped from a spoon.
9 - Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
10 - Sprinkle with rose colored coconut.
