Strawberry Divinity Fudge
2 cps sugar
1/2 cp water
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 cp preserved strawberries
2 egg whites
1 - Boil sugar, water and cream of tartar to firm ball stage (248 degrees F.).
2 - Add strawberries which have been drained as dry as possible.
3 - Let come to a boil again.
4 - Pour slowly, beating constantly, over stiffly beaten egg whites.
5 - Beat until thick and fluffy.
6 - Pour into well buttered pans
7 - When firm, cut into squares.
8 - Any thick preserves or candied fruit may be substituted for strawberries.
