1/2 cp brown sugar
1/4 cp butter or butter substitute
1/2 cp sugar
2 tsp vinegar
1/2 cp water
1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring
few grains salt
1 - Combine all ingredients except flavoring.
2 - Cover until mixturebegins to boil.
3 - Boil without stirring to soft crack stage (275 - 280 degrees F.).
4 - Add flavoring.
5 - Do not stir.
6 - Pour quickly into well buttered pan.
7 - The candy should be in a thin sheet.
8 - Cool slightly and mark in squares.
