1 cp brown sugar
1/2 cp water
2 tbsp butter or butter substitute
1/4 tsp cram of tartar
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
2 cps puffed Rice
1 - Combine water, sugar, cream of tartar, vinegar, and butter or butter substitute.
2 - Boil to hard crack stage(285-290 degrees F.)
3 - Remove from fire.
4 - Add flavoring and rice.
5 - Stir until all the grains are coated.
6 - Pour into well buttered pan.
7 - Spread in thin sheet.
8 - Break in pieces.
