Quick Apple Fritters
3 raw apples
fine bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
1 - Pare and core apples and cut crosswise in 1/4" slices
2 - Dip in egg, slightly beaten and mixed with 1/4 cop water; and then cover withh crumbs.
3 - Fry first on one side, then the other in enough vegetable fat to keep them from sticking.
4 - Drain on paper napkins or towels; and serve dusted thickly with sugar and cinnamon
and a few chopped nuts if convenient.
