Modern Club Sandwiches
12 slices of buttered toast
cold roast pork
salt and pepper
thinly sliced tomato
8 strips cooked bacon
small sweet pickles
1 - Allow 3 slices of buttered toast for each sandwich.
2 - On one, arrange thin slices of roast pork; dust with salt and pepper.
3 - Spread with mayonnaise and cover with a small leaf of lettuce and a second
slice of toast.
4 - Arrange thin slices of tomato and small strips of cooked bacon on the toast.
5 - Spread with mayonnaise; and cover with small leaves of lettuce, and a
third pice of toast.
6 - Remove the crusts; and cut the sandwiches in quarters. Garnish with the pickles.
