1/2 cp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/3 cp milk
2 dozen cleaned fresh or canned shrimp
vegetable fat for frying
1 - Sift the flour and salt together; and add the egg, slightly beaten and combined with the lemon juice and milk.
2 - Dip the shrimp in the batter and fry in the heated vegetable fat hot enough to brown a cube of bread in 55 seconds.
3 - Fry until brown on one side then turn and brown on the other.
