Little Biscuit Pastry
2 cps flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
<1/2 tsp saltbr> 5 tbsp shortening
34/ cp water
1 - Sift the dry ingredients; cut in 2 tbsp shortening until the consistency of coarse cornmeal.
2 - Moisten with water; transfer to aboard dusted with flour and roll to 1/2" in thickness.
3 - Spread with 2 tbsp of remaining shortening; fold over; press the edges together and
roll out again to 1/2" thickness. 4 - Spread with the remaining shortening; fold over; press the edges together and roll
to 1/4" thickness.
5 - Cut into very small biscuits
lace scarcely touching on the hot meat pie filling and
bake 25 minutes in a hot oven.
