Baked Beans, Michigan Style
1 pt. pea beans
1/2 cp sour cream
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp molasses
1 - Soak the beans overnight. Drain; and rinse.
2 - Bring to a boil in water to cover, containing 1/3 tsp baking soda.
3 - Drain; combine with the onions, chopped, the cream and seasonings in a casserole.
4 - Barely cover with boiling water and bake until tender, about 3 hours.
5 - Then uncover to brown
