French Fried Tomatoes
4 firm tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cp milk
fine bread crumbs
1 - Wash the tomatoes; and cut them in inch slices. Do not peel.
2 - Dust with the salt, pepper, and sugar; dip in the egg, slightly beaten
and mixed with the milk.
3 - Roll the slice of tomato in crumbs; place in a frying basket.
4 - Fry in deep fat hot enough to brown a bit of bread in 55 seconds.
