3 cps ciced white or rutabaga turnips
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1 - Place the prepared turnip in a kettle; add the sugar, salt, and boiling water to cover.
2 - Put on a lid; boil until the turnip is tender, about 45 minutes to an hour, according to the kind.
3 - Drain; add the butter; reheat; and serve.
