Fool Proof Pie Pastry
2 cps flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cp shortening
4 tbsp cold water
1 - Sift the flour, salt and baking powder. Rub in the shortening with the back and edge
of a spoon until the kixture is like coarse meal; then lightly stir in the water and press
3 - Chill, if convenient in a refrigerator for an hour.
4 - Place on a lightly floured board; and with a floured rolling pin roll to 1/8" in thickness.
5 - This makes enough crust for a medium sized two-crust pie and a baked pie shell
