Strawberry Cream Pie
1 - Hull and wash the strawberries. Mash 1 cp of the berries; combine with the sugar and water; and cook for 10 minutes.
2 - Rub through a fine sieve; and add the cornstarch mixed to a smooth paste in 1/3 cp cold water.
3 - Cook and stir until the mixture thickens; add the remaining strawberries which have been cut in halves;
and set aside until thoroughly cool.
4 - Whip the cream and transfer to the pastry shell; pour over the strawberries and syrup; chill; and serve.
