Butterscotch Custard Pie
1 - Line a deep pie plate with the pastry, fluting the edges.
2 - Caramelize the granulated sugar; and add the milk and butter.
3 - When the sugar has melted, stir in the brown sugar beatedn together with the eggs, salt and vanilla.
4 - Cool; pour into the pie plate; bake in an oven hot for the first 10 minutes, 375 degrees F.
so that the custard mixture will not boil. Allow from 35 to 40 minutes.
