Rhubarb and Apple Crisscross Pie
1 cp diced rhubarb
1 cp peeled sliced apples
3 tbsp flour
1 1/2 cps sugar
a few grains salt
1 tbsp butter
1 - Combine the rhubarb and the apples; dust with flour; and combine with the sugar and salt.
2 - Line a pie plate with the pie crust rolled to 1/8" in thickness; fill with the rhubarb mixture
and dot with butter.
3 - Moisten the edge of the crust with cold water; and cover the top of the pie with long narrow strips
of crust arranged crisscross or in lattice fashion. Cut off the ends; and press the edges together
4 - Bake in a hot oven, 375 degrees F. for 15 minutes to set the crust; then reduce the heat to
350 degrees F. and continue baking for 3o minutes.
