1/2 cp shortening
1 cp sugar
1 tsp lemon extract
4 egg yolks
1 3/4 cps cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 tsp salt
1/2 tsp milk
1 - Beat the shortening until light and creamy; gradually work in the sugar; and add the flavoring.
2 - Beat the egg yolks and the egg until thick and lemonn colored; and combine with the forst mixture.
3 - Sift the dry ingredients; and add alternately with the milk to the egg mixture.
4 - Transfer to a shallow oiled pan; and bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees for 30 minutes or
until firm in the center and brown on top.
5 - Remolve from the pan; dust with confectioners' sugar, and cut in squares.
