Cinnamon Layer Cake
1/3 cp shortening
1 cp sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cps cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cp milk pple Icing
1 - Cream the shortening; and gradually work in the sugar.
2 - Add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla, slightly beaqten, and mix until blended.
3 - Sift the dry ingredients; and add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.
4 - Transfer to 2 oiled and floured layre cake pans; and bake in a hot oven, 375 degrees F. for
25 minutes or until firm in the center and brown on top.
5 - Remove from the pans; and cool.
6 - Put together and covere with apple icing.
