Pecan Russian Wafers
1 cp butter
1 cp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cps cake flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
halved pecan nuts
1 - Cream the butter and sugar; and add the vanilla and eggs, well beaten.
2 - Sift the dry ingredients together; and add to the first mixture.
3 - Chill for an hour; form into marble sized balls by rolling between the hands.
4 - Transfer to an oiled baking sheet; and press a half pecan in the top of each.
5 - Bake in a hot oven, 375 degrees F. for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
