Cream Sugar Cookies
1 cp cream
1 2/3 cps sugar
3/4 tsp nutmeg
3 tsp baking powder
5 1/2 cps flour
1 - Pour the cream in a mixing bowl; Stir in the sugar, the egg, well beaten, the salt and the nutmeg.
2 - Sift the baking powder with 4 cps of flour; and beat into the first mixture.
3 - Add enough flour so the dough can be easily handled.
4 - Turn part of the dough on a slightly floured board; roll to 1/3" thickness; and shape with a cutter.
5 - Place not quite touching in oiled pans. Dust thickly with granulated sugar.
6 - Bake about 10 minutes in a moderately hot oven, 350 degrees F. allowing about 12 minutes.
