1/4 cp shortening
1 cp brown wugar
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cp cake flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cp chopped walnuts
1 - Cream together the shortening and sugar; add the eggs, well beaten, and the vanilla.
2 - Sift the dry ingredients together and stir in the nuts.
3 - Combine with the first mixture and transfer to a shallow oiled pan.
4 - Make the batter 1/4 " thick.
5 - Bake in a hot oven, 375 degrees F. for about 20 minutes.
6 - When cool cut in finger length pieces.
